These are some projects I completed in my undergrad work during my senior year. The Tumblr website demonstrates pieces of my writing throughout my college career. I took clips of a paper I wrote for each of my classes to demonstrate my writing process and the progression of my writing skills. These papers also demonstrate the range of my writing topics.
The first project is a reflection on my writing process. I wrote a poem and made a movie to show what I do while writing and how I get to a final draft. I also wrote a thank you letter to my dad, who inspires me everyday to become a teacher. I wanted to thank him for teaching me the basics of writing and for always being the first person to critique my work to make me better.
For my second project, I created writing activities for Caucasia and Maus. These writing prompts require my students to use textual evidence to deepen their understanding of some of the themes in the texts.
The final project listed is a paper I wrote discussing some pedagogical approaches in my placement. The two teachers I had as mentors taught in very different locations so I compared and contrasted their teaching strategies.
